About
I am a Professional Counselor Associate in the State of Oregon and have a master's degree in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling from Portland State University. You can learn more about trainings I've completed here.
I've provided counseling in community mental health and low-cost clinic settings, serving clients with diverse identities, lived experiences, life circumstances, and therapeutic goals. I also have professional experience in the wider mental health field, having worked in residential (inpatient) mental health, sexual violence prevention and education, men's mental health, and contributed to mental health research focused on underserved populations.
I approach this work as a human with a counseling education and skillset. As a counselor and human in this world, I've gone through my own lived experiences navigating mental health and seeking therapy, which continues to help inform my understanding and approach to this work. I am committed to ongoing reflection, consultation, supervision, and my own personal counseling to strengthen the services I provide.
I am white, queer, neurodivergent, and Jewish. I also benefit from class privilege and navigate chronic pain. I share this information because sometimes people feel more comfortable or safe working with a provider that shares some of their identities and/or lived experiences. However, I welcome clients of all identities and backgrounds.
